By using WorthRange you accept the terms below. They are written to be read rather than to be impenetrable, and the most important one is the first: an estimate here is an opinion, not an appraisal.

Estimates are opinions, not appraisals

Every result is an automated opinion of likely resale value, generated from the limited information in a photograph, a barcode, a description or a listing page. It is not a certified appraisal, it is not a valuation by a qualified appraiser, and it must not be relied on for insurance, tax, probate, estate, divorce, customs, lending or any other legal or financial purpose. Where a formal valuation is required, engage a qualified professional.

Nothing on this site is financial or investment advice. Collectables are not an investment product, markets in them can and do fall for decades, and several categories covered here have done exactly that. Decisions about buying, selling or holding anything are entirely yours.

We do not authenticate anything

WorthRange cannot tell whether an item is genuine. Where a result names a brand, a maker, a model or a reference, it describes what the model believes it is looking at; it does not confirm that the item is authentic, and it is not evidence of authenticity in a dispute or a resale. Counterfeits in several of the categories covered here are good enough to pass in photographs, and for anything of significant value an in-person opinion from a specialist is the only reliable check.

Accuracy and availability

We make a genuine effort to keep the written guidance correct and to say when figures were last checked, but markets move, rates change, and errors happen. Guides and rate tables are provided as general information and may be out of date by the time you read them. If you find something wrong, please tell us through the contact page.

The service is offered without any guarantee of availability. It depends on third-party AI providers and may be slow, limited or unavailable at times, and free allowances may change.

Acceptable use

• Upload only items you own or have the right to photograph and share. Do not upload photographs of people, identity documents, private or confidential paperwork, or anything unlawful.
• Do not use the service to value stolen property, to assist in fraud, or to produce material that misrepresents an item to a buyer.
• Do not script, scrape or bulk-submit requests, circumvent the free allowance, or operate multiple accounts to obtain more of it.
• Do not attempt to interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or overload it.

When you paste a link, you are asking us to fetch a page you have chosen. Only paste addresses you are entitled to access, and respect the terms of the sites you link to.

Accounts

Accounts are optional and free. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it. We may suspend or close accounts used for automated requests, for abuse of the free allowance, or in breach of these terms, and we may remove content that breaches them.

You can delete individual saved estimates yourself at any time, and you can ask for your whole account to be removed through the contact page. Doing so deletes your saved estimates with it.

Content and intellectual property

The written guides, category pages, calculators and the design of this site belong to us. You are welcome to read them, link to them and quote briefly from them with attribution; republishing them wholesale, or using them to train a model or to populate another site, is not permitted.

You keep ownership of the photographs you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to transmit the image to the AI provider, produce your estimate, and store the small thumbnail with your saved history. We do not publish, license or sell your images, and there is no public gallery of anyone’s items.

Links and affiliate disclosure

Results and guides link to marketplaces so you can check an estimate against real completed sales. Some of those links carry affiliate tracking and may earn us a commission at no additional cost to you. This never changes which marketplaces are suggested or the order they appear in: a marketplace is shown when it is a sensible place to check or to sell that category of item. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any of the sites linked to, and brand and model names belong to their owners.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service or from reliance on an estimate, including lost profit, loss on a sale or purchase, or the cost of a professional valuation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the narrowest permitted exclusion applies.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the service does. The current version always appears on this page, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the page.

Disputes, severability and the whole agreement

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply. A failure to enforce a term on one occasion is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us about your use of the site and replace anything said elsewhere.

Please raise any complaint with us first through the contact page: most problems are a misunderstanding about what an estimate is, and those are quicker to resolve directly than formally.
